timegame (placeholder title?) is a narrative-heavy dungeon crawling rpg set entirely inside of an apartment building. youre 21, a young man barely scraping by in the decaying corpse of the Serene Union. after a year of homelessness, miraculous circumstances provided you with a small sum of money. by no means is it a fortune, but its enough for a couple months of rent in the cheapest apartment building you could find. your god, however, isnt done with you yet.
windows only show pitch black void. all doors leading to the outside refuse to open. you and the 11 other tenants are trapped in a place where that which ought not to exist lurks and something evil and familiar prowls the corridors.
learn to trust. remember. get betrayed. fight for your life. embarass yourself. forget everything. leave it all behind. face thy reckoning. and, most importantly, make some friends :)
timegame is an rpg maker mv project inspired by fear and hunger, several games in the megami tensei series and the worms inside my brain. it will feature dungeon crawling sections with puzzles and rpg combat against monstrous enemies, alternated with hang-out sections where you can build bonds with other characters and perhaps even recruit them to your party. no, there arent any romancing mechanics planned.
the game takes place in the fictional continent of Aurora, a political powderkeg loosely inspired by late 20th century europe. all or most of the illustration will be by yours truly, while the music will probably mostly be by a friend of mine whom you can find here.
while the game will not strive to be as explicit as fear and hunger and other similar games, sexual and/or potentially disturbing themes are frequently explored. will there be nudity on screen? at the moment im leaning towards no, but thats potentially subject to change. however, there will definitely be suggestive imagery and depictions/descriptions of violence and/or sexual acts in varying degrees of detail.
i plan to publish a demo containing the first 2 days of the game sometime soon. the timeframe for that is between the time you are reading this and the heat death of the universe. but ill probably be done before that.
